Friargate Link Group

Hello, welcome to Friargate Link Group. We are some Quakers from York who attend Friargate weekly to take part in different activities, run by different people from the meeting. We are of secondary school age. There are other groups for the younger children of primary and pre-school age. They all take part in different activities from crafts to baking and playing games!

We as the link group have done many activities before. We have done plays, taken photographs of ourselves and of York, made chocolate, olive and cheese filled bread and made paper aeroplanes. We had a fantastic Midsummer Bonfire at Ruth Corry's house. We also learn about Quakerism and Spirituality. We all start at 10.45am after the first fifteen minutes of meeting and have activities for three quarters of an hour. Some activities take longer especially if we go out of the meeting for an activity.

At the moment link group are writing the play for the Midwinter Party in January. This play is all about some Quaker scientists and it will be acted out by some of the younger groups.
